For EDB NET Scheme :
- Native or native-level English fluency is required
- Holder of a recognized Bachelor's degree majoring in English from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent
- Holder of a Post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) majoring in English Language, or equivalent
- Holder of a Teaching English as a Foreign / Second Language (TEFL / TESL) qualification at least at certificate level, or equivalent
- Successful clearance of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) scheme
- A pass in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST)

For EDB NET Grant :
- Native or native-level English fluency is required
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree in any subject from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent
- Holder of a PGDE or a TEFL / TESL qualification at least at certificate level, or equivalent
- A minimum IELTS score of 7.5 (both overall and in the Speaking component)
- Successful clearance of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) scheme
- A pass in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test (BLNST)
