About the role
Experienced Math Teacher at Mathetactics / 學臻教育, a boutique high-end tutoring centre in Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong. You will teach IB Math AA / AI (HL / SL), IGCSE Extended Math, and DSE M2 to small classes of 5-7 students in 2-hour lessons. If you do not have IB experience, we provide a 3-6 month IB training programme and mentorship from Ken Sir (owner) and Lau Sir (Senior IB Math Tutor).
Key responsibilities
• Teach IB Math AA / AI (HL / SL) — trained during onboarding
• Teach IGCSE Extended Math and DSE M2 depending on experience
• Conduct topic-level diagnosis and create targeted worksheets
• Deliver 5-7 student small classes with 2-hour lessons
• Administer end-of-term mock exams
• Provide parent feedback reports
About you
• Minimum 3 years secondary school or tutoring math teaching experience
• Bachelor's in Math / STEM from HKU / CUHK / HKUST / Ivy / Oxbridge / Russell Group, OR PGDE in Math, OR Master's in Math / Applied Math / Statistics
• Fluent Cantonese and English with ability to code-switch in teaching
• Willingness to complete IB training if not already IB-qualified
• Systematic teaching approach
Nice-to-have
• IB Math teaching experience
• IB examiner or marker experience
• International school teaching background
• LaTeX / MathType familiarity

Compensation & Benefits
• HK$250 - HK$480 per hour (commission-based, tiered by student count and experience)
• Free access to past paper library, AI teaching tools, and LaTeX materials system
• Potential progression to IB Math Head / Senior Tutor Partner
